Where the (Character) Magic Happens. And Happy Podcast Birthday! {Episode 108}

Aloha!  This week we celebrate TWO YEARS of the Boy Mom Podcast! (how could that be!?) And this week’s short, solo episode feels like the perfect way to celebrate…

You hear me talk about character a lot around here, but some of you may feel like I did when I was a younger mom:  I heard so many of the more seasoned moms talking about “just focus on your child’s character” and oftentimes it seemed so vague and confusing.  What did that even mean?  😉  Did it mean don’t focus on academics?  Did it mean talk to them about character qualities or how exactly was I supposed to “focus” on character?  If you resonate with any of this, today’s episode (and even more – my Character Training Course) is just for you. (more on the CTC below!)

In today’s episode I am sharing a blog post from a couple years ago in which I tell a real story... of a real Wednesday night, at my (real) house. 😉  I feel like this captures my heart for character training, and I hope it encourages you, too.

My book, BOY MOM, was released in August of 2019 (Waterbrook Multnomah Publishers) and is full of practical advice and helpful resources for raising boys.  It’s great for personal reading, or to use as a study for small groups!
