An Invitation to STAY (especially now) with Anjuli Paschall
Though I couldn’t have planned it like this, today’s podcast interview turns out to be especially timely.
I’m sure you would agree: This world is feeling very uncertain right now. The Coronavirus is continuing to spread, causing schools and business to close down, travel and other events to be cancelled, our economy to tank, and a whole lot of anxiety for people on a whole lot of levels. This is legit crazy town.
In times like these, some of us (for example — me) are most comfortable hurrying over all of the scary, negative, and uncomfortable thoughts…grasping for anything positive in order to distract or numb or busy ourselves instead.
Anyone with me?
Yet, Anjuli Paschall, today’s podcast guest, invites us to STAY. To slow down, feel the feels, invite Jesus in, and fellowship with him right there in the middle of it all.
(Did anyone else just squirm?)
This is the message of Anjuli’s book, STAY, releasing on March 31st. It’s a beautiful book, packed with moving stories and deep truths. It is a collection of over 20 “invitations” to find grace, freedom, and wholeness by learning to STAY. I know you’re going to love it.
In today’s episode Anjuli shares some of the background to STAY, and helps us understand why we need to learn to do it. We also talk about kids — how we can teach them to be ok, even when they’re not ok. How we can usher them into a place of fellowship with the Lord, even in the midst of — well everything.

MORE ABOUT ANJULI:
Anjuli (An-Julie) grew up as a missionary kid in San Diego county secretly wondering, “Why does everyone else understand this Jesus thing, but me? She studied Psychology at Point Loma Nazarene University and earned her graduate degree from Talbot Seminary in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care. It wasn’t until she ran into her fears instead of from them, that Anjuli found her gritty and glittering voice and the love of God meeting her there. She has been married for nearly 15 years to her childhood friend, Sam. They have five wildly beautiful children: Manoah, Samuel, Noelle, Hannaly, and Mea. Anjuli is the founder of the @themomsweloveclub, a social media campaign designed to raise prayers and financial support for moms enduring long term hardship. As a pastor’s wife, writer and busy mom, She learned that prayer is like breathing and pain is a pathway to freedom. Her first book, Stay: Discovering Grace, Freedom, and Wholeness releases March 31st! Weekends are spent renovating their little home in Southern California and taking adventures to the nearby ocean. Anjuli is passionate about speaking hope into the longings of Christian women’s hearts. She loves chai tea, Instagram and the color orange.
Ok, so totally adorable, right!?
