A Q and A with my College Boys {Episode-121}
Hi Friends!
I received so many great questions for a Q and A episode that I decided to divide them in half. Today we have the college boys on, and sometime this fall we’ll try to get the “L”s to join me for an interview!
Josiah (22) and Jonah (20) are with me this week to answer some great questions. We cover their relationship as siblings (“Did you always like each other?”…“Did you ever fight?” haha,) as well as how/when they made their faith their own. They talk about how they feel about homeschooling now, in light of how it prepared them for college. Finally, they talk a bit about their relationship with their mom. (🥰 ) I love all that they share, and they even have some advice for the kids listening!
*Note: At the beginning of this episode I take a few minutes to address questions listeners have sent in for my husband, a hospital physician, related to Covid and the vaccine. Since I know there are many more questions, I am hoping to do a Q and A episode with Dr. Dave on the podcast in a couple weeks! (stay tuned.)

My book, BOY MOM, was released in August of 2019 (Waterbrook Multnomah Publishers) and is full of practical advice and helpful resources for raising boys. It’s great for personal reading, or to use as a study for small groups!

So good, Monica! Thank you for talking about friendships. My boys (15, twins) have a small group of friends that I call the circle of trust. If they’re in the circle of trust you can go to the football game, spend the night, etc.. If not, the answer is usually going to be no. There is one kid that I have a bad vibe about and it’s been difficult at times to say no, but I definitely feel it’s worth it. I’ve told the boys that if they think I’m wrong then I will make an effort to get to know his family but they’ve never said yes. 🤔 Thank you for sharing your family with us.
Your boys are so refreshing to listen to. 😀 There is hope for the next generation.
