Wake Up Calls and Love-Centered Parenting {Episode 101 with Crystal Paine}
This week’s episode is a special interview with best-selling author, Crystal Paine. You likely know Crystal from her wildly popular Money Saving Mom website, but recently she switched gears to share about her parenting journey in a new book: Love-Centered Parenting.
Crystal shares about a particularly difficult season with one of her kids, and how that rocked her world. When a therapist suggested that Crystal quit trying to “fix” her children, but instead, learn to walk alongside them, everything changed. Crystal began to discover some of her own root issues…the lies she had believed about herself and her parenting. As she shifted her thinking, and began to focus more on her relationship with her kids than on changing them, doors began to open. Crystal shares this story and some lessons that might help others avoid the same wake-up call she had in today’s interview and in her new book. I so appreciate Crystal’s honesty and humility on this topic. I think you will too!
