Winning Every Day of 2021 {Episode 87 with Mark Batterson}
Hey Friends!! It’s alllllmost the New Year. Whew!! We’ve just about crossed a serious finish line! 😀
However, let’s be real here. We all know that ahead of us are 365 more days…which will bring us new opportunities, challenges, and plenty of little (and big) tests of our attitude and character! With this in mind the timing could not be better for the brand new book, Win the Day, by best-selling author, Mark Batterson. And I am so happy to get to share this inspiring conversation with Mark with all of you!
Mark is a husband, father, Pastor of National Community Church in Washington DC, and one of our family’s favorite authors (Mark’s book, In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day was a personal favorite to the men in our family!) In today’s conversation Mark highlights a few of the 7 Habits he shares in his new book, Win the Day, which will help us to stress less and accomplish more in the new year. I also love that these are all habits we can teach our kids! I have already begun sharing these 7 habits with my sons (can you guess which one is their favorite? — see list in NOTES below! 😀)
— Also, especially for the moms of littles: — Mark and I get to touch on another new book that he co-wrote with his daughter, called “God speaks in whispers.” This new picture book helps even the youngest readers look for God’s voice in the universe; in creation, as he speaks through his followers, and in the Bible as he speaks through His Word. It’s beautifully illustrated and carries such a powerful message!
