Raising Siblings to be Strong Together, and Apart. {Episode 81 with Amy Carney}
Aloha! Today’s podcast episode is on a topic I hear from a LOT of parent’s on! How can we help our kids become better friends…to actually like each other, play together, and develop a deep bond? And also: How can those same kids have a strong sense of identity and independence apart from their siblings?
Oh this is good stuff! AND I have the perfect woman for the interview! Amy Carney is a Mom to FIVE — including TRIPLET SONS, 😳 a daughter, and another son through adoption. Amy is also the author of Parent on Purpose, an incredible book full of wisdom on encouragement for intentional parenting (which is, as you know, a favorite topic around here!)
I loved getting to know Amy better in our chat. Her straight-shooting, confident parenting style inspired me, and I think it will inspire you as well.

Why you should make family meetings a Habit in your home (blog post)
Amy encourages us to:
Make courageous decisions for your family. This inspires others to do the same. Give gifts that bring family together — like games and books and sports equipment.
Dinner table is playground. Be intentional about conversations there.
