  1. I order powdered oat milk from Amazon.com to use in making gluten free buns as we are dairy free and cannot use regular powdered milk. I would guess it would work the same. Just wanted to let you know there could be alternative.

    1. oh that is so good to know!! I need to try that! 🙂

  2. Do you know if I can use something else instead of powdered milk? We don’t really use this here in Germany. I would LOVE to make these for my family!

    Love from Germany,
    Lena 🙂

  3. It’s been forever since I made these! So doing it again soon. And yes please to the chocolate sprinkles. I never rolled them in anything but my greasy little hands.

  4. Oh wow. Yummy!! Can’t wait to try them! Also am afraid of the addiction factor so I’ll try to go as healthy as I can without sacrificing taste….

  5. Have you tried these with any other butter than peanut? I’m debating trying either a sun butter or nutella for my no nut kiddo. Thanks for sharing; I’ve never heard of them before.

    1. Toni, Good question, and I honestly have not. I would guess they would be great though–as long as the texture and consistency of the butter is similar, it should be just fine!
let me know if you try it, I’m sure there are many others who would like to know too! 🙂 Aloha!

  6. I used to eat these too as a kid! I love them cold, right out of the fridge. Sometimes, I wouldn’t even bother making the balls…and just eat it with a spoon straight from the bowl. I’ll have to make these soon, since it’s been years! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

    1. I made them as a kid too… but we called them dinosaur eggs. I tried to remember what we had called them when I was describing them to my husband. I first said, “Dinosaur balls…” He said, “No, I am not eating dinosaur balls.” Haha…
