Most of you know that I spent many years of my life preoccupied with diet, exercise and my body image.  I was wrapped up in a bunch of lies, and couldn’t find my way out.  I had a college degree in sports medicine and I was a professional fitness instructor and personal trainer, yet my mind was still a mess:  filled with the very same lies that so many (millions) of people are trapped in.  These lies kept me obsessed with my body and with food and exercise.

They kept me searching for the next great diet.  They kept me miserable.

Well if you’ve read my book or seen my Vlog, you know the story of how I got over the lies.  How nearly fifteen years ago I had a life-changing breakthrough where I learned to replace the lies with truth, and conquered the mental demons that were making me miserable.

I found freedom.  And my ideal weight.

But I hear from people all of the time…people who are still struggling with their weight and their body image.  And when I talk to them or read their emails, I hear the same lies coming out of them that used to haunt me.  And it breaks my heart.

Then when I see products or commercials or things on social media that support these lies I get a little worked up, and I want to scream “Just stop it already!”

Stop the lies.

There is a better way to find your healthy, ideal weight.  You don’t have to believe the lies.  The truth is so much better (isn’t it always?) It might not be easier, but then again–yes, in the long run it really is easier!!

It frustrates me when I realize that the lies about diet and weight loss are so pervasive that the truth is really hard to find.

So, I created a new printable!

11lies

“11 Lies that might be keeping you fat.” (and the truths to replace them with.)

These are eleven of the most common lies we hear (and often believe) related to our diet and weight loss journey.  And yes–I’m also sharing the truths to combat those lies!   If you’ve read my book this list will likely give you some reinforcing head-nods.  If you haven’t it just might make you want to.  (and that’s ok too. ;))  Either way it will give you some food for thought (see the pun? :))

Mostly I hope the list makes you think, and perhaps challenge some of the (even subconscious) things that go on in your thinking.

The “11 Lies” document is a downloadable PDF.  To get a copy, simply enter your email address in this form, and it will be sent directly to you!

The other cool thing about signing up to get this is it helps me know which of my readers are interested in this topic.  I am trying to learn more about my readers’ interests, so you’ll find more giveaways coming in different blog categories in the days ahead!

**I hope you will share this fun offer with your friends, so they can hop on and get the download as well.

Much love and see you back here soon!
