I believe in a God who created all of us in His image, and loves us each individually more than we could ever imagine.
I believe that we are all sinners, and in need of a Savior.
I believe that God offers salvation through Jesus Christ, if we choose to turn to Him for forgiveness. (John 3:16)
I believe that when we do that, we receive God’s Spirit, and we are a new creation. We are not perfect, but we have a hope and a future because something Supernatural happens, and we have God’s strength to grow and overcome. (2nd Corinthians 5;17)
I believe all of this because I have experienced it for myself, and though I could try my best to prove it and explain it (and my husband is excellent at that, i love to hear him share…) The very best evidence I have for all of this is the change in my own life when I surrendered completely to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I also see amazing evidence of this when I meet a fellow believer and instantly feel a deep connection to them, because we share the same God. (Even if they come from an entirely different background, or country!) That’s one thing I enjoy even through internet connections–it is amazing.
I could share about Jesus all day long, and if you want to hear more, I hope you’ll email me to ask any questions.
Here at the grommom site, I don’t share about my faith every day because I know that not all of my readers believe as I do, and it simply isn’t the focus of this blog. However, I hope that my faith, and our family’s lifestyle of loving God and walking according to His grace is something you see each time you visit.
My recent theme for my family, for homeschooling, and for my own life is to be RICH IN GRACE. Biblical grace is simply “unmerited favor,” or “getting what you don’t deserve.” God has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams, and I want so much to be a blessing to others. Quick to forgive. Generous. Life-giving.
With Aloha,
Monica
PS Just so you know, I pray daily for those of you who take the time to read my blog. You are all part of God’s blessing in my life.
