I hope you’re all doing well. It’s a good week for me, for sure. I’m excited to wake up (alive!) to drink coffee, take care of my crazy, loud, wonderful kids, and even tackle my to-do list. LIFE….is good.
Of course I’m feeling all of these things because merely 3 days ago I spent a very long 38 minutes convinced that my life (and perhaps my entire island’s) was about to end. Now you all know me well enough to know I’m NOT big on drama. But this one…it rocked me. I was terrified.
But then someone from the TODAY SHOW website reached out to ask if I would share my story over there, and that seemed like a cool opportunity. So I wrote my story, and it is now live over at the Today Show Parenting site.
Find my story HERE!
Since this is my first Today Show article, I’d be THRILLED if you would hop over, have a read, and then click on every little button you can find! 🙂 I think you can “vote” (a simple click shows them you like the article.) And then you can share the post on social media, and all of that. (#thankyousomuch)
I am not kidding that this experience both rattled me, and changed me. I think this story has a message for all of us, so please comment (here or there or BOTH!) if the missile scare impacted you (whether you were here in Hawaii or elsewhere) or if you’ve had a similar experienced that changed you in some way. I never want to forget this, and I want to continue to embrace the gratitude I feel now for a very long time.
By the way, thank you so much for all of the amazing kindness and support on my Facebook page and Instagram last weekend! I felt so loved knowing that a few people out there really were glad I’m not dead. Ha! 🙂
