  1. I was wondering what tips (maybe even a blog post 🙂 you have for body after baby and the years in between when you have children. I’m about to have my first baby and we would like to have 2 more after that. I’m a little nervous about diastis recti but have been doing deep breathing exercises throughout this pregnancy to help with that. You look great after your kids and I would love any advice you have!

  2. Back before my gym closed I used to love PUMP and RIPPED classes. Weight training based classes with cardio built in for good measure. I have yet to go search for a new gym.

Instead, now I am training for a 15k race in March, and try to fit in some workout dvds at home when I can. Either Combat or some of the Bob Harper ones, as long as they have punching.kicking/weights I am relatively happy.

  3. Battling consistently with motivation, I started working out with a trainer (a splurge but well worth it). He has taught me the importance of strength training combined with cardio and protein. I use an app called Trainerize with a plan he created when I am on my own which shows me what exercises to do, tracks progress and has quick clips showing proper form. It has taken a couple of months but I am now seeing the results. A little thing about the trainer, he is passionate about what he does and offers stuff online and in person to help people. And he is a vet. 🙂

Now that my workouts are also less of a priority. I have found the various 30 day challenges keep me motivated.
They are a good way to get some strength training in a very short amount of time.

    1. Oh that’s right–we were just talking about doing weights, yes! Which 30 day challenges are you referring to? Now I’m interested in checking out some DVD’s! 🙂 Aloha to you and keep up the great rehab work! XO

Jillian Michaels’ Body Revolution DVDs (90-day program) in my garage has done more to build muscle and reshape my body than anything else has for me! It only requires 30 minutes a day, which is about all this busy homeschooling mom can handle. 🙂 The workouts start out relatively easy, but by the end of 90 days I was doing exercises I never imagined I’d do. I felt so strong and powerful!

    1. Oh so happy to hear that Sunshine! I haven’t done workout DVD’s in years but have been thinking about finding some lately to help cure some of my workout monotony! Yay– I’ll look for that one! 😉 And way to go– very proud of you! Aloha 🙂

    2. I also love Jillian Michael’s DVD’s. She helped me to get back in shape. I work full time and am a mother to 3 children. My days are packed but I CAN fit in a 30 minute workout. The key to my success was when I figured out I didn’t need to workout for an hour. Thirty minutes does the trick, especially when you use weights. Getting control of my health has helped me to get control of other areas of my life as well. It motivates me in all aspects of my life.

  6. swimming! Cardio and toning at the same time with no impact! I also like tabata classes and plain ole weights!

    1. swimming is so good! I wish I could convince myself to try it more. (especially considering I live by some really nice ‘natural’ swimming pools!) Good for you!
