I feel a little Mother’s Day Love coming on…
Where do you even start to talk about how great moms are?,..
Moms are strong, tender, loving, loyal, selfless, compassionate, and real-life super heroes. Moms make everything feel better. Moms are: cooks, nurses, counselors, drivers, tudors, cleaners, and really good friends. (and much more.) Moms carry the emotional burdens of their families, and they can read volumes by a simple look on their kids’ faces. Moms are awesome.
As I parent my own kids, I often think of my own mom. Specific memories come back to me and I wonder: Did I ever thank her for that? (probably not.) Did I realize all of the hours she spent driving me around, watching my sporting events, and listening to me talk? (no.) (endless). Did she ever even worry about her own self? (I don’t think so.) Why didn’t I help out more? (I feel bad about that.) My Mom was (and still is) incredibly selfless and incredibly strong.
So for what it’s worth I’d like to say it here and now:
I love you Mom! You’re amazing. Thank you. (And sorry.) I really truly appreciate you.
Well, now that I’m all adult-like and have kids of my own, I have a whole new appreciation for Mother’s Day. And I think it’s fair to say that Mother’s Day isn’t always all it’s cracked up to be when you’re still in the thick of it. It’s not dozens of roses and brunch with mimosas when you’ve got snot-nose kids and teenagers with attitudes. Sometimes you’re just glad if you get to sleep an extra ten minutes or get the night off cooking.
But we’ll take what we can get, right?
Well, I want you guys to know that I think you’re pretty amazing. And it’s my heart to celebrate Moms with a little love and recognition this Mother’s Day. Even if you’re in the thick of it (especially if you’re in the thick of it!) I want to help you slow down and appreciate all you are as a Mom.
And my beautiful friend Kris, of Sea Kissed by Kris wants to help us celebrate!
Kris lives here on the North Shore of Oahu, and spends her days collecting sea glass and shells with her darling littles.
(and surfing a bit as well…)
Then she spends her nights crafting GORGEOUS jewelry out of all of her treasures. Kris’ Facebook and instagram feeds are drool-worthy, and her web site is just full of beauty.
I started my own SeaKissed collection last Christmas when Dave treated me to a few beautiful pieces.
But call me greedy — I still want more. 🙂
To help celebrate YOU this Mother’s Day, Kris is offering TWO $75 gift credits towards anything on her site! And everyone gets TWO chances to enter:
One entry for your SELF, and one to give to your own Mom or a special person in your life (see bottom!)
Even more: Kris has offered to give ALL OF YOU a 25% discount on her jewelry from now until Mother’s Day!
I think you’ll agree every piece of Kris’ jewelry is absolutely stunning.
HERE’S HOW TO ENTER: Contest closed!

We’ll choose two winners at random on SUNDAY NIGHT, MAY 1ST! We will email the winner on Monday, MAY 2nd (be sure to check your email!!) Jewelry will be mailed out Tuesday!
