Merry Christmas Monica. I wish you a remarkable season full of laughter and love.

  2. Thank you for this post and wonderful reminders Monica. I love reading them! This year the Holy Spirit encouraged me to take a “social media fast”, at first I thought: but I’m going to miss so much interesting and encouraging stuff! But…. but…. so many reasons not to, however I decided to trust Him and instead of social media, I’ve been diving into His word, spending time with Him. SO many things went wrong as we were getting ready for the holidays, yet He has been SO faithful and SO good at keeping me at peace and joyful. I’ve had to lower my expectations yet still, He blesses me so abundantly! He’s been renewing my mind and it’s just been so so good!! We even got snow today and as I was at my parents’ celebrating Christmas Eve, I was reminded of His goodness! Much didn’t go as planned, so much fell apart and yet He made this season so much more for me by being with me and making me His 🙏🏼🙏🏼 When we choose to obey Him, be still and trust Him, He makes everything so good!
Your puppy is so adorable 😍😍😘😘
Merry Christmas to you and your family! May the Lord bless you all!!! 🎄

    1. What an awesome comment, Elina! Thank you so much for sharing! I am so encouraged by your faithfulness and His goodness. Blessings to you now and in the New Year!! aloha-

  3. my husband told me the other, ‘you just ruined my xmas’. I asked him why he felt that way. Because we could not afford myself a new cell phone along with my son and hubby’s, he was mad, so we had to make an agreement that if I can’t afford in two months, I will deactivate my until I get a job. we still have a home phone anyway. I will have low key holidays for now on, what the use if we have bad atittudes? [it does not help when your retired husband does not have a job.

    1. Yes Bonita, sometimes the expectations of material things at the holidays can really throw us off. Get back to basics and keep a joyful spirit–Cell phones aren’t so important in light of God and the people He’s put in our life. I pray you all have a wonderful Christmas regardless!

  4. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! You are truly and inspiration to me! I “plan” on taking your advice and Relax. Laugh, and Enjoy this holiday season!

    1. Thank you Sara!! I hope it is the most wonderful Christmas ever. And I’d love to see what weather is like right now in Ohio!? Blessings to you!

  5. A blessed Holiday to you and your family!
I was just thinking about keeping my expectations down for the week, and then I read your post! Definitely making the effort to lower them, because, of course, most events, plans, ideas, never go as planned!
So, I’m savoring every moment and really talking with my Savior about every person I come in contact with this Christmas- kind of like an ongoing prayer- and listening with purpose. I can’t thank God enough for all He’s blessed me with and pray my light shines brightly for all to see who makes a difference in me!
With a joyful heart ❤️- Merry Christmas 🎄
