My boys in their element in our Hawaii country home…
*This post was sponsored by Wrangler, however all opinions are my own. 🙂
It’s hard to believe, we are just wrapping up our 7th summer living on the North Shore of Oahu. Though I miss summers in the Pacific Northwest, (and let’s be honest: seasons in general) I’ve come to appreciate Hawaii’s unique seasonal changes: The days are about an hour and a half longer in the summer than the winter, and the temperature is just 5-10 degrees warmer (though it does get a bit humid right about now.) The waves are all on the South facing shores this time of the year, and our north shore becomes calm and flat. (and gorgeous!)
Summertime also brings tourists, so our 2-lane North Shore highway tends to get super clogged up this time of the year. (Our economy depends on tourism so we dare not complain…well, not too much anyways :))
So during the summer months, when I can, I love to stay close to home. Living on two acres with all kinds of tropical fruit growing means there is always a lot of work to do. Dave and the boys divide up the mowing, weed-whacking, and harvesting duties. I’m on baking/dehydrating/juicing duty. The boys have plenty of chances to explore our country trails, climb trees, and enjoy our skate bowl. We love to do life outdoors as much as possible: Morning coffee on the lanai, sunset and dinner on the deck, and star-gazing whenever possible. (my boys’ favorite!)
Earlier this summer, Wrangler jeans reached out to see if our guys wanted to try some of the pieces from their fall boy’s and men’s lines. The thought of Wrangler made Dave and I think of country music and cowboys (both of which we love, so not a bad thing.) We were excited to check them out.
But when the Wrangler boxes arrives, we realized that Wrangler isn’t just for the country any more! My boys loved the slim fit and modern details of the jeans and shorts, and Dave has been wearing his new pants and shirts to work at the hospital. Josiah claimed his jeans as his favorite jeans to skate in because of how comfortable and durable they are. We were truly impressed! Wrangler has obviously become mainstream cool since we last checked them out.
Here are some snapshots of my boys in their element, wearing their new Wrangler jeans and shorts.
**At the bottom, be sure to watch the 1 minute video Josiah put together of my boys having some fun in their Wrangler clothes in our skate bowl.
If your kids like being young style makers, they are sure to find some new looks at the Wrangler website. Be sure to hop over and check out all that is available for your kids, teens, and men. Also, now that I’m looking at their site, I want to try some of the super cute women’s line! (I also want to go country dancing, but that’s another story…)
Thanks for letting me share great brands with you! You know I only share things here that I genuinely love and think you will too.
