Hi guys! I’m just dropping in because I really love Easter and I thought it’d be nice to share a brief moment of it with you. (thanks for taking a minute with me!)
I just got home from an Easter Eve worship service that my oldest son, Josiah, played the piano in. And now can I just encourage a few of you with younger kids? Those kids: The little ones with sticky fingers and runny noses? They grow up. And when they do, you might just one day sit through an entire evening of worship being led by your own child. And honestly? I don’t think it gets much better than that. To see your own son growing up right before your eyes, and for him to be honoring God with his time and talents all on his own initiative? Um. It’s like the grand prize of parenting. I don’t know if Olympic medals or full ride scholarships could make my heart any more full than this. (well, the scholarship might be really nice…) I’m just saying: As far as I’m concerned, this is what it’s all about.
Press on, parents.
I love these photos (also thanks to Josiah) and I also love these quotes, so I thought I’d leave them with you before I slip into my Easter Bunny uniform and get busy (Dave’s working a night shift. And yes, it’s SO glamorous being married to a doctor, thankyouverymuch.) 🙂
Here’s some Easter love…
God proved His love on the Cross. When Christ hung, and bled, and died, it was God saying to the world, ‘I love you.’ (Billy Graham)
“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime.” (Martin Luther)
And a fun one to ponder…
“There is more evidence that Jesus rose from the dead than there is that Julius Caesar ever lived or that Alexander the Great died at the age of thirty-three.” (Billy Graham)
Have a great Easter guys. See you soon!
PS I shared a short video of the youth worship band on Instagram…Insta is my jam, so hope to connect with you there!
